Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center (BNAC)
"The firm took painstaking care to understand our needs... [Smith+Associate's] design did not just meet but exceeded our expectations." - Robert Zivadinov, MD, PhD, associate professor of Neurology
Project No.: 06001
Location: Buffalo, New York
Client: Jacobs Neurological Institute, State University of NY at Buffalo, and Kaleida Health
Area: 6,500 SF
Construction Complete: June 2007

This project encompassed the conversion of approximately 6,500 sq. ft. of existing mechanical and storage space into offices for the Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center (BNAC). The renovation presented many challenges, including accessibility for the multi-level space and the inclusion of the existing exhaust stacks into the design aesthetic. The unique partnership of Kaleida Health, The Jacobs Neurological Institute (JNI) and The University at Buffalo at this facility provides the patient with the most advanced imaging technology in the region as well as world-renowned university researchers and clinicians.
