Tower-A Renovations
Project No.: 09042
Location: Buffalo, New York
Client: Kaleida Health
Area: 10,000 SF
Construction Complete: 2011

The North and South wings on five floors of the A-Tower Building at Buffalo General Hospital will eventually receive major interior updates, including minimal new construction and all new finishes, millwork and some furnishings. The key feature in each unit is an upscale new nurses' station and public elevator lobby. The primary goal of this project is to develop a design flexible enough to be "personalized" per unit and floor, but universal enough to be cost efficient. The design combines more efficient work spaces with a warmer and more pleasing color pallet, translating into reduced stress for patient and staff alike. Two units are complete, a third is in progress and seven more planned to be completed in 2011.
